MALDEN POLICE DIVISION

We are dedicated to the people, traditions, and diversity of our City. We are committed to enhance the quality of life for our citizens of Malden  by working in partnership with the community to enforce the law, preserve peace, prevent crime, and reduce the fear of crime.  We will provide service with understanding, response with compassion, performance with integrity, and remain focused on our vision.

The Malden Police Division consists of sixteen full-time and five reserve officers. The department is responsible for investigating all crimes that occur within the City of Malden as well as answering calls for service that may or may not be of a criminal nature.

The Malden Police Department has 24-hour coverage and has three shifts. Each shift has a supervisor.  The department has Field Training Officer that is responsible for training all new members. There are twelve officers assigned to the Patrol Division.
The department also has a lieutenant and a sergeant employed by the Malden R-1 School District and serving as School Resource Officers.
