The City Clerk prepares the agenda for the City Council meetings and maintains the records for the City Council. An important role of the City Clerk is to serve as a direct contact with residents wishing to express concerns about city services. As City Collector, I not only collect taxes due, I also make every effort to assist however I can with questions or problems regarding any Malden city tax. Please call or stop by my office between 9:00 a.m.-noon or 1:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. to make payments or for information regarding any city tax. The title of this officer shall be Code Enforcement Officer. The Code Enforcement Officer shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the consent and approval of a majority of the members of the City Council. The Code Enforcement Officer shall preform all duties imposed on him in Chapters 500 and 515 and elsewhere in Municipal Code.
