ASSISTANT UTILITY DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS -

 Salary range $50,000-$65,000 Annual -based on Qualifications

The City of Malden, Missouri Board of Public works is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Utility Director of Public Works. The Assistant Utility Director of Public Works shall have the responsibility to direct the activities of the utilities department. This will include water and electric supply planning and acquisition.  Also the operation of water and electric distribution system, wastewater collection system, as well as the Customer Service Center.

Knowledge, ability and skill in personnel management, budget preparation and administration, effectively interpret and apply Federal, State and local policies, procedures, laws and regulations. Will require skill and experience in oral and written communications, reviewing and interpreting civil engineering drawings and plans.  Experience in various software packages such as MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.

Education:             Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business Administration and five (5) years experience in                                                     public utilities.
